Speckled Trout Fishing in 1975
What gets me is how much has changed since 1975. I remember visiting Pip's when I was a kid and there being a lot more vegetation. Today, it looks like the saltwater intrusion compounded by hurricanes has withered what flora there is left.
It seems like Hopedale and Shell Beach are just places where people go to work and have fun, but not to live.
It's a shame, but there's a chance we can save our coast. Back in the day people didn't have to evacuate St. Bernard for hurricanes!
For now, just watch this video and take a second to peer into the past. Enjoy yourself!
I’ll check it out, thanks for the heads up!
