E62 – Vito Neal Covers Down on Redfish, Triple Tail and the Louisiana Marsh

This Slidell native tells all of his adventures fishing in the marshes of Louisiana.

Like me, Vito is from Slidell, Louisiana. He started off like most of us do with humble beginnings in the freshwater world before climbing the ladder to where he is today in the inshore world, fishing redfish tournaments in the (now defunct) Louisiana Saltwater Series, Inshore Fishing Association and Tito's Handmade Vodka Redfish Series!

He is a welder by trade and what's really neat about Vito is that he played a key role in bringing my old flatboat back to life. Without his help, she wouldn't be floating today! He also built my first real stand and the thing has had many redfish caught off of it.

In fact, he creates his own stands to use in redfish tournaments. Pretty cool, huh?

I've already mentioned redfish tournaments, so it should come as no surprise that Vito has a passion for sightfishing redfish. Me and him have been sightfishing together in the Biloxi marsh. I can tell you that he has mastered this skill set!

This podcast is another great listen, filled with knowledge bombs and his unique take on not just sightfishing reds, but also sightfishing for triple tail. Honestly, I went a little overboard with it. You'll know when you listen to that part of the podcast.

His worst fishing trip story is a good one, but not worth telling here. You have to listen to this episode as soon as possible and get wrapped in Vito's inshore journey. Just hit the play button below!
